The Course Mechanic is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instructure, Inc. or the Canvas Learning Management System. All trademarks and product names are the property of their respective owners. Services offered are limited to instructional design, formatting, and optimization of existing course shells and do not involve platform modifications or unauthorized access. Course content, materials, and login credentials provided by clients are treated as confidential and are used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the requested services. The Course Mechanic makes no guarantees regarding student outcomes and is not liable for platform-related issues, institutional policy violations, or changes made by the client after delivery.

Terms & Conditions - the basics

By booking a service with The Course Mechanic, you agree to the following terms. We provide Canvas course design and consulting services tailored to faculty needs. Clients are responsible for granting timely access to course shells and relevant materials. Most projects are completed within 3 to 14 business days, depending on scope. Each package includes up to two rounds of revisions; additional revisions may incur extra charges. Payment is due at booking unless otherwise arranged. Cancellations within 24 hours are eligible for a full refund; partial refunds may be issued based on work completed thereafter. We maintain strict confidentiality with course content and access credentials. While customized course materials may be used freely by the client, proprietary design elements may remain the property of The Course Mechanic. We are not liable for disruptions caused by Canvas updates, client modifications, or third-party tools. Terms are subject to change with notice.
