My name is David Sedghi, and I’m the founder of The Course Mechanic. I’m a college professor with over 20 years of teaching experience across both community college and graduate programs. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how thoughtful course design can transform the student experience. Over the past decade, I’ve developed a strong design sensibility and deep expertise with Canvas, using it daily to build engaging, accessible, and organized course shells.

I work alongside a collaborative team of experienced educators who bring diverse teaching backgrounds, design insight, and instructional creativity to every project. Together, we help faculty streamline their Canvas courses, reduce confusion, and create learning environments that truly support student success. Our goal is simple: to take the stress out of course design so you can focus on what you do best—teaching.
